Radio Victory first came to life in Portsmouth, UK on 14th October 1975, one of the first Independent Local Radio services to be licensed in the UK.

It became hugely popular, but due to various reasons it lost it’s franchise to broadcast in 1985, and consequently went off the air in June 1986.

Lobbyists fought to eventually bring back the station in 1999, but the name of 107.4 Radio Victory did not last long. The station was bought and the name changed. We still know today that that was a mistake: people of Portsmouth feel that they lost their station all over again.

We at Radio Victory.com are aiming to change that. We will bring back the name as an internet radio station, so Portsmouth and the world can hear their station again.
